Samsung Q35 ultraportable review :

This samsung laptop model, Q35 was made with an Intel core 2 duo T5600 CPU (1.83GHz) and 1.25GB of DDR2-533 RAM (1 x 256MB stationed on the motherboard and 1GB in the single slot). It is hopeful that the smaller cache on this CPU will result in lower power consumption than in samsung laptops like the T7200 in my X60plus. To upgrade the RAM to a 2GB module would have been better but it is practically too expensive.

The audio quality of this samsung laptop is good. Here the speakers are mounted under the laptop computer and it resultively gives an amazingly good volume when the laptop computer is on a firm surface. Amog samsung laptops, the Q35 has a high definition audio which when combined with SRS gives a practically good quality.

Nevertheless, the X60’s audio system's bass sound is a little more. The Fn+F7 key combination provides an easy step through for the SRS audio tools.

Samsung laptops' display is usually of good quality.

It has a dislay of 1280 x 800 (WXGA) with a high brightness and glare, superbright, glossy display with samsung exclusive digital imagery enhancement.

The ports on this laptop computer includes: one USB port on the right part which is easily accessible to flash disks. The fan exhaust vent is also on the right part, but this laptop computer doesn’t produce too much heat.

On the left part from back to front are the network (RJ45) port, then the optical drive, followed by the PC card slot and then the firewire port. There is a blanked off port at the back, in the Korean version, it is for the TV antenna. On the back part, from the left side to the right are the power charging port, battery, USB port, and then a security slot. On the right, from the back to front are the modem(RJ11) port, VGA port, USB port, and then the fan exhaust.

On the front ther are the 6-in-1 memory card slot, the headphone port, and then the microphone port.

The layout of the keyboard part is comparatively good in relation to space. Samsung laptops claim that there is improved water resistance for the keyboard. The keyboard has 83 keys which have very clear white and light blue for the Fn keys marked on a background of black. Eventhough samsung laptops say that the keyboard is full-sized, the keys are somewhat smaller than those of the X60.
